Pianist Horacio Nuguid has inspired and captivated listeners in Asia, Europe and North America with his "digital precision, elegance and beautiful tone." He received a BM at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, MM at the University of Nothern Iowa, and DMA from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Horacio has garnered prizes and commendations for his performances in a number of national and international piano competitions in the United States. His successful performance in Manila during his return in 1998 confirmed him as one of the foremost Filipino pianists today. He was a faculty member of the University of Northern Iowa and Rochester Community College. Currently, Dr. Nuguid teaches at his own piano studio in Rochester and is in constant demand as a performer, clinician and adjudicator.
