| Registration:
When you have registered you will be assigned a
confirmation number. After you send in your registration contact the
business office to acquire this number. Once you have a confirmation
number you schedule with your teacher can be made secure. Teachers
cannot guarantee a schedule until you have registered.
Missed Lessons: You have contracted a block of time with a professional teacher, any absence is a loss of time for the teacher.
CMMS Cancellations: The decision to close CMMS is determined by safety conditions and if SCSU cancels classes due to extreme weather. As it is difficult to reschedule lessons or classes due to a school closing, the school is committed to remaining open whenever possible. In the event of school closure, call 320-255-0318 for a recorded message in the business office. |

Dropping Lessons: One month's paid/written notice is required when dropping lessons. The teacher must sign the drop form and the student is responsible for turning it into the office no later than one month before the last lesson day. Instructor information: Changes in instructor are usually not made once the year of study has begun. Should the instructor, student, and family mutually decide that a change is necessary and in the best interest of the student, the instructors and the business office must be informed in writing before the change is made. Financial Aid: Financial aid is awarded on the basis of financial need and may cover up to 50% of the cost of lessons. All applicants must reapply every year. Financial aid applications and more information can be obtained at the business office. The program is dependent upon donations from individuals and grantors. In case of limited funds, applications will be considered based on financial need (for those applying before August 1), thereafter they will be considered in the order they are received based on funds available. Tax Credit Information: If you would like more information about tax credit or deduction please refer to these websites: www.taxes.state.mn.us or www.cfl.state.mn.us or www.pcemn.org. The business office will also have current information. If you are eligible and would like a receipt of tuition for the calendar year, please contact the business office. You will not receive a receipt unless you request it. Recitals, Musicales, & Other CMMS Events: Students are not required to attend school recitals and events (please check individual teacher policies for individual studio expectations). CMMS does believe, however, that studio musicales, recitals and CMMS recitals and events are an important part of every student's musical education. These events give students an opportunity to perform for others and listen to other students from various studios. These opportunities are unique to a school environment. All of our teachers are dedicated to giving their students opportunities fitting for them at their stage of musical development. Safety: The safety and security of your children while on CMMS premises is of extreme importance to our Board of Directors and staff. Due to safety and legal ramifications, CMMS adopted a policy (November 1997) asking that all parents make secure arrangements for getting students to and from lessons located on the third floor of St. Mary's School. |
